In what is pretty much a scene straight out of Six Feet Under, except without a house full of unlikable, dysfunctional people being cruel and abusive to one another, New York City Police impounded an unmarked van parked illegally in front of a funeral home on Friday – and with it, the body in the back that was waiting patiently to get on the road.

There’s no need for concern over the ultimate fate of the vehicles deceased occupant, though. Following a couple of frantic phone calls and stern lectures about proper parking, the van was claimed by it’s owner, funeral director Paul DeNigris, and the corpse in the back continued on it’s merry way to the eternal peace and bliss of the pearly gates – via Newark.
